Pomegranate Flower

Pomegranate Flower, flower of deciduous shrub in Lythraceae family, genus Punica. Commercial raw material is dried petals and calyx. Mainly produced in Iran, Türkiye and Spain. It is a traditional herb in Middle Eastern and Ayurvedic practices, widely used for skincare extraction and herbal tea. Rich in pomegranate polyphenols, ellagic acid and tannins with astringent and antioxidant properties. Commercial batches often contain non-fruiting sterile blossoms.
