It is a traditional herb in Middle Eastern and Ayurvedic practices, widely used for skincare extraction and herbal tea. Rich in pomegranate polyphenols, ellagic acid and tannins with astringent and antioxidant properties. Commercial batches often contain non-fruiting sterile blossoms.
