Galbanum Gum is an aromatic oleo-gum-resin exuded from basal stem incisions of Ferula gummosa (syn. Ferula galbaniflua), a perennial herb of the Apiaceae family. It mainly originates from highlands of northern Iran, Afghanistan and mountainous T\u00fcrkiye. Famous since antiquity and recorded in ancient texts and sacred incense formulas, commercial grades include hard Persian galbanum and soft Levant galbanum.
