Licorice Gum is concentrated dried extract obtained from aqueous extraction of rhizomes and roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra (or Glycyrrhiza uralensis) of Fabaceae, native to Mediterranean, West Asia, Central Asia and Northwest China. Famous for glycyrrhizin with extremely high sweetness. It has long been used in traditional throat & respiratory remedies, flavouring and antique incense. Widely applied in confectionery, tobacco flavouring, soothing cosmetics and pharmaceutical excipients today.
